When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or compete, everybody will respect you. -- Lao-Tzu

Your competitive advantage must be perceivable, promotable, and something the market will pay for. -- Brian Tracy

The principle of competing is against yourself. It's about self-improvement, about being better than you were the day before. -- Steve Young

The only competition you will ever have is the competition between your disciplined and undisciplined mind. -- James A. Ray

The biggest things are always the easiest to do because there is no competition. - William Van Horne

Competition is easier to accept if you realize it is not an act of aggression or abrasion... Whatever you want in life, other people are going to want, too. Believe in yourself enough to accept the idea that you have an equal right to it.

What separates you from your competition? What standards are you setting? What makes people talk about you? What makes people look forward to doing business with you? What makes people tell others about your business?

Everything now being done is going to be done differently; it's going to be done better, and if you don't do it, your competitor will.

A competitor will find a way to win. Competitors take bad breaks and use them to drive themselves just that much harder. Quitters take bad breaks and use them as reasons to give up.

A competitive world has two possibilities for you. You can lose. Or, if you want to win, you can change.
